The InBody 380 brings the detail. At Allura, we help you make sense of it, with personal attention at our North Miami Beach clinic.

InBody

A closer look at you

Your goals deserve a closer look.

Maybe you’re building a new strength routine, working on weight management or simply curious about your body. Wherever you’re beginning, you’re welcome here. We start by listening to what you’d like to understand, then help you explore the details in your report. You can come with questions, even if you haven’t settled on a goal yet.

At our North Miami Beach clinic, the InBody 380 uses bioelectrical impedance analysis to estimate muscle, body fat and water. Your InBody Result Sheet brings those measurements together so you can look at them alongside your daily routine and the things you want to work toward. We’ll explain the numbers in plain language, including how preparation and testing conditions can affect a comparison between visits.

Understand your muscle

See your skeletal muscle estimate alongside your weight. It’s a chance to ask about strength and the activities you enjoy, with more detail than a weigh-in alone.

See how it all fits together

Explore your body-fat estimates alongside muscle and water. We’ll help you read each part of the report and understand how it relates to the others.

Keep sight of your progress

Save your report and revisit it as your routine evolves. Tests taken under similar conditions give you a way to follow changes and ask about the patterns you notice.

As your goals evolve

See your progress with a little more perspective.

Perhaps you’re finding your rhythm in the gym or giving more attention to your health. Keeping your reports lets you look back at where you began and talk through the changes along the way. Similar testing conditions make those comparisons more meaningful.

Begin where you are

Come as you are, with the goals or questions on your mind. Your first report gives you a record of where you began.

Follow what changes

Return under similar testing conditions to compare your results. Follow the preparation guidance and mention anything different in your routine, including recent exercise.

Choose what comes next

Talk through what matters to you. You may want to explore personal training, arrange a weight-management consultation or decide when to check in again.

Your goals, your starting point

Is this the right fit for you?

If you’d like to understand your body composition or follow changes in your health and fitness routine, an InBody Test may be a helpful place to begin. Let us know before your visit if you have an implanted medical device, are pregnant, have mobility limitations or have another concern. We’ll check the device guidance and discuss whether you can safely maintain the testing position and contact with the electrodes, with assistance where appropriate.

Does this sound like you?

  • You’d like to understand what makes up your weight
  • You’re beginning or reviewing a strength or weight-management routine
  • You want a record of your body composition to revisit over time

If you’re wondering whether testing is right for you, we’re happy to talk through your questions before you book.

What to expect

Your InBody visit, step by step.

We’ll guide you through the test and take time for the questions on your mind.

  1. Tell us what brings you in

Share what you’d like to understand about your body. We’ll talk through preparation and any questions about whether the test is right for you.

  2. Take your InBody Test

We’ll guide you into position on the InBody 380 for a non-invasive assessment. With bare feet on the foot contacts and the hand electrodes in place, stay still while the device takes its readings.

  3. Get to know your results

Explore your report with the team, ask about the details that matter to you and discuss whether another visit would help you follow changes.

Before you begin

We’ll help you review InBody’s preparation guidance before you arrive. Plan for bare hands and feet, and aim for similar conditions if you’re returning for a comparison. Recent food, exercise and hydration can affect your readings. Keep following your clinician’s advice about medicines or fluid restrictions; you do not need to change prescribed care for the test.

After your visit

Your reports and testing history are available through LookinBody Web, so you can return to the details whenever you need them. Keep a note of anything different in your preparation or routine to help with future comparisons. If you’d like a further report review or follow-up visit, we’ll explain the options and any separate cost. Speak with a clinician about health concerns before making treatment or major dietary changes from a reading.

Questions, answered

InBody Body Composition: what to know

A little clarity before you decide. For questions about your own health or care, speak with a qualified professional.

What does an InBody Test measure?

An InBody Test on Allura’s InBody 380 estimates components including skeletal muscle, body fat, and body water alongside body weight. Your InBody Result Sheet brings those measurements together. Selected fields can vary with the report configuration.

What happens during an InBody Test?

We’ll show you how to stand on the InBody 380 and hold the hand electrodes. You remain still during the non-invasive assessment, then explore your results with guidance from the team. If you’re planning your day around the visit, ask us about the full appointment time, including any report discussion.

How should I prepare for my InBody Test?

Use InBody's official preparation guidance and confirm the instructions for your Allura visit. Plan for bare hands and feet, and consider how recent food, exercise, hydration, and testing time affect comparisons. Follow your clinician's instructions for medicines and fluid restrictions rather than changing prescribed care for a reading.

How often should I repeat an InBody Test?

That depends on what you’d like to follow and how your routine is changing. We can talk through when another test would be helpful and how to prepare for a fair comparison. Any repeat visit is arranged separately; there’s no need to commit to a package.

Can I compare results over time?

Yes. Comparing assessments under similar preparation and testing conditions can make trends more useful to discuss. Food, exercise, hydration, and other factors can affect readings, so a single change should not automatically be treated as muscle gain or fat loss.

Does InBody diagnose a health condition?

No. It provides estimates for wellness discussion and progress tracking, not a diagnosis. Discuss symptoms or medical concerns with an appropriate healthcare professional.

Who should check suitability before testing?

Please tell us in advance if you have an implanted medical device, are pregnant, find it difficult to hold the testing position or have another concern. We’ll review the InBody 380 instructions with your circumstances in mind before you take the test. Precautions can differ between body-composition devices.

Can I access my results online?

Yes. Your reports and testing history are available through LookinBody Web at Allura, and we’ll help you access them. If you’d also like to use the InBody App, ask us which connected features are available and whether an optional subscription is needed.
